I have read that most or all catalase supplements do not do much, if anything, what about your products? We have read this too. We cannot directly speak to other catalase supplements. How these are designed is their business. Frankly, we can understand the skeptics because all pill and capsule-based catalase supplements offer much lower enzyme levels that end up losing most of their potency when swallowed from stomach acid pH levels. Frankly, these are poor designs.

Supporting balanced catalase-H2O2 levels is important when catalase levels are lower than normal, when diet, as well as the use of common prescription medicines and OTC drugs are contributing to elevated hydrogen peroxide levels. These elements can be counter-acting forces to natural catalase levels and to supplementation. Keeping the natural catalase-H2O2 balance is a continual battle that needs attention. Health, wellness and longevity is at risk from ROS molecules of any type. H2O2 is toxic to cells and a prolific producer of ROS molecules.

Why did your company decide to design a liquid catalase dietary supplement and not another capsule or pill-based product? We are scientists, we research and learn about the best ways to offer our customers the highest performing supplements available. Pill and capsule type catalase supplements will not provide the absorption nor the potency to supplement the catalase levels because these products are swallowed. It is well documented that low pH conditions (stomach acid) will immediately denature catalase enzyme.

Why are your products different? Science Smart Catalase Enzyme drops are up to 10X stronger than any other supplement, no matter what the other companies claim. How long should it take for my gray hair to stop showing? Science Smart Catalase Enzyme dietary supplements for oral and topical use are the most potent and unique products available for supplementation. Our products are designed to work together and provide the best pathway for absorption and highest levels of supplementation.

How long it takes to start reversing, slowing or stopping gray hair has to consider if long term exposure to H2O2 molecules has permanently damaged hair follicles so they will no longer produce melanin. A person's diet of noted foods, drink, prescription medications and OTC drugs are known to produce hydrogen peroxide molecules, so it is important to keep the natural catalase-H2O2 balance. We know H2O2 is toxic to cells (kills bacteria and normal cells too) and as it breaks down creates reactive free radicals (ROS molecules). How much gray hair can be reversed depends on how much permanent damage to hair follicle function has already happened and the existence of counter-acting elements in day-to-day life. 

Long term exposure to H2O2 and the resulting ROS molecules can damage hair follicles' DNA and mitochondria functions to the point that the damage is permanent (will no longer produce melanin).

At the same time, H2O2 follicle bleaching of undamaged DNA and mitochondria follicles may not be permanent, so supplementing catalase levels may slowly reverse, slow or stop graying hair production. We have many customers that have seen their natural color return after using the oral drops over 2-3 months. Gray hair took a while to develop, very likely several years of having unbalanced catalase-H2O2 levels. Combined with a poor diet and using certain medications will not help keeping the natural balance noted.  

All of these elements must be considered to estimate how long it could take to see a reduction or reversal of graying hair. The catalase-H2O2 balance is a constant battle.

Take note: Catalase supplementation is much more about health, wellness and longevity than about gray hair. It’s nice to reverse gray hair or at least slow its growth. Clearly it is more important to consider supporting overall health, wellness and longevity.

How do I take Catalase 60,000 oral drops? Take once per day, anytime between meals and any liquids, preferably at bedtime.  Carefully dispense 7 drops on a teaspoon, press your tongue to the roof of your mouth and swallow to remove excess saliva. Your mouth should feel relatively dry. Place the spoon in your mouth, swipe it with your lips to dispense the solution and press your tongue a few times to the roof of the mouth to "savor" the enzyme solution. It is OK to feel a little of the solution at the back of your throat. Allow 20-30 seconds for the drops to be absorbed. We suggest taking the supplement at bedtime. If you use the supplement during the day, you can have refreshments or have a meal after the solution is absorbed. We believe you will find the taste pleasant.

How many times per day can I take Catalase 60,000 drops?

You can take up to 21 drops per day but do not exceed 21 drops. We designed the products for 7 drops per dose, used once per day, preferably at bedtime. Please do now swallow or not take drops with food or liquids.

Can I add the oral use drops to my refreshments/food? No, please do not add Catalase drops to drinks or food. This will cause degradation from stomach acids just like it happens with pill and capsule catalase supplements.

How do I use Topical Catalase 12,000 drops? Use daily, preferably before bedtime. Dispense 10-14 drops of Topical Catalase Enzyme solution into a tablespoon or small receptacle. Dip a fingertip in the solution and apply to the desired area of the scalp or facial skin that is showing gray hair. Use your finger to gently rub the solution into the skin. Allow 10-15 minutes for the solution to absorb and fully dry. Wash hands after using the solution to avoid getting finger residue in your eyes. The solution may cause mild eye irritation, if you get the solution in your eyes, flush with tap water. You may choose to apply the enzyme solution 2 or 3 times per day. Do not apply more than indicated.

How should I store Science Smart Catalase drops? Store at room temperature (less than 85*F). For extended product viability store the capped bottle in the refrigerator. Prolonged storage above 95°F will disproportionately reduce enzyme activity. Do not freeze the enzyme solution.

What do I do if I get catalase enzyme drops in my eyes? Rinse your eyes with warm water for 1-2 minutes, until irritation eases. Dry your face afterwards. Catalase drops do not contain any aggressive ingredients so eye irritation should be mild, somewhat less than getting sea water in your eyes. 

Can I take Catalase drops if I am pregnant or planning to become pregnant? To our knowledge, there are no studies about the use of catalase by persons that are or are planning to become pregnant. As of August 2023, we are not aware of any studies about the use of catalase supplements by expectant and lactating mothers. If you have questions about using catalase supplements, we recommend that you discuss it with your healthcare provider.

Can I have allergies to any of the ingredients in Catalase drops? It is very unlikely that ingredients in Science Smart Catalase drops will cause allergic reactions. However, do not use the product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Discontinue use if allergic reactions, swelling of the lips or throat, or skin irritation, any other unexpected reactions occur. If symptoms persist seek medical attention.

Can I take Catalase drops if I am taking other medications? To our knowledge, there are no indications of cross reactions with other medications. Discuss taking any catalase dietary supplement with your physician in the event you are taking medications that may have expressed limitations or may be affected by catalase or if you have complex health conditions.
